Who we are

Pointina started with two friends, Elizabeth Buffone and Meredith Evans, meeting for lunch on Greenwich Avenue, tossing around ideas that felt almost rebellious in the world of needlepoint. Could we make stitching feel modern, social, and effortlessly cool? Could we take this centuries-old craft and build a community that actually fits into the lives of busy, creative women today?

We think the answer is hell yes.

Meredith has been stitching for over 20 years—she’s the technical mastermind, with a background in architecture and an eye for detail. Elizabeth grew up watching her mom needlepoint but never felt like it was for her—until the rise of the grandmillennial aesthetic made her see the craft in a whole new light. She finally picked up a needle, got hooked, and as a marketing and social media expert, she saw the potential to turn this into something way bigger than just a hobby.

What started as a hunt for better canvases turned into a movement to disrupt the needlepoint industry.

Pointina isn’t just another needlepoint club. It’s the first-of-its-kind, digital-first community designed for modern creatives who want a place to connect, unwind, and stitch—without feeling like they’re stuck in their grandma’s craft circle. We’re bringing together cool, ambitious women who love beautiful design, wellness, and a little bit of tradition—on their own terms.

This isn’t just about stitching—it’s about building something beautiful, from the canvas to the community. Let’s make needlepoint modern.

Our Brand Values:

🌟 Creativity on Your Terms → We believe needlepoint should be as modern, accessible, and fun as you want it to be.

💬 Community is Everything → This isn’t just stitching—it’s about connection, collaboration, and creativity.

🧘‍♀️ Wellness Meets Craft → We integrate mindfulness, meditation, and relaxation into the process. It’s more than a hobby—it’s an escape.

🛠 Disrupt the Traditional → We’re here to modernize the craft, break down barriers, and make needlepoint feel fresh and relevant.

📍 Digital First, IRL Always → Our Slack group is the home base, but we bring it to life with local Sip & Stitch events, pop-up stitch clubs, and exclusive workshops.
